Deborah Busch, DNP, CPNP-BC has her doctorate degree in nursing and is a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Busch received her nursing degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, her Masters in Nursing/Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree from Gwynedd Mercy College in Gwynedd Valley, and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DPN) at Chatham University in Pittsburg, PA. Dr. Busch is also a Certified Lactation Consultant who developed a Baby Friendly breastfeeding program among eight collaborating pediatric offices in the Lehigh Valley area of PA. Dr. Busch holds an Assistant Professorship at University of Maryland in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Doctorate of Nursing Program.

 

Kathleen (Kate) Keffer RN,CPNP, is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She received her nursing degree from Chestnut Hill Hospital. Kate continued her education and completed the Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Pennsylvania and was certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and The American Nurses Credentialing Center. For many years Kate was a nurse for the Conewago Valley School District before joining Hanover Pediatric Associates in 1987. Kate lives in Hanover with her husband and has two grown daughters.

 

Mary Kemper, a Physician Assistant (PA), received her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham College in Pittsburgh, PA. After extensive rotations in different fields of medicine, Mary joined Hanover Pediatric Associates in 2001. Mary grew up in the York Springs area and continues to live in that area today where she enjoys the country life of horses, dogs and chickens with her husband and children.

 

Dr. Kae Jin Kim, MD is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and has been with HPA since 1996. Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Kim has been a resident of the United States since 1984 and received his citizenship in 2000.

Dr. Kim began his academic career at Pennsylvania State University with a Masters Degree in Genetics. From there, he attended Temple University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at the Yale-New Haven Haven Hospital in Connecticut. Dr. Kim also had a Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. In 2001, Dr. Kim became a licensed Medical Acupuncturist after attending UCLA School of Medicine, Medical Acupuncture for Physicians. He lives with his family in Maryland and has strong ties to the Korean communities there.

 

Dr. Melissa Lavallee joined the HPA family in 2004. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Lavallee attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at the University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina. She lives in the Hanover area where she enjoys gardening and camping with her husband and children.

 

Dr. Douglas Masucci, MD is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a founding partner of HPA. He and Alvaro Alandete, MD (now retired) combined their solo practices in 1995 and Hanover Pediatric Associates, P.C. was born. Dr. Masucci, a native of Brooklyn and a die-hard Yankees fan, attended the St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his residency and training at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island and completed an extra year of training when he was appointed a Hoffenfeffer Fellow, Chief Resident of Pediatrics at Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Masucci practiced pediatrics primarily in New York State until he opened his solo practice in Hanover, PA in 1988. Dr. Masucci resides in Hanover.

 

Dr. Michael Pallone, MD is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and has been a member of the HPA team of physicians since 2005. He is a native of Pennsylvania, growing up in the Pittsburgh area, and he attended medical school at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine.

He completed his clinical training, internship and residency, at the Pennsylvania State University Children’s Hospital, The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. Dr. Pallone also completed a Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio and continues to focus on pediatric pulmonary conditions.

 

Dr. Andres Valdes-Dapena, MD joined the HPA team in 2000 after a successful career in pediatric medicine in suburban of Philadelphia. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his residency and training at the Naval Hospital in Bethesda, MD while on active duty with the United States Navy and served as a staff pediatrician at the Naval Hospital in Okinawa, Japan. Dr. Valdes-Dapena was board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1981 and recertified in 2009. Dr. Valdes-Dapena and his wife reside in Hanover.
